WHAT
Science Court is a student-led project at the University of Minnesota designed to combat polarization in American society and strengthen democracy. Each year we select a controversial issue, research the facts, and argue the pros and cons it in a trial in front of a jury representing the public. We are considering three cases for 2021. Help us choose which one to do:
To promote a better work-life balance, Americans should have the option to work remotely in cases where their jobs allow it. |
To ensure a sustainable food supply, regenerative agriculture must be prioritized by the US government. |
To fight polarization and recreate a common American identity, a mandatory national service should be adopted. |
